Valentine's Day Cookie Release, February 2008
Pinko is donating a portion of the Valentine's Day Cookie Release to Mrs. Kim's 4th grade classroom. Here's what Mrs. Kim says about how Pinko can help:

I teach 4th grade at Plummer Elementary in North Hills, this school is in a low income area. All of my students receive free lunches and most of my students are English Language Learners, which means English is their second language.

Plummer Elementary School focuses primarily on Language Arts and Math. I believe that is important also but I think it is important for students be exposed to the Arts as well. If you are able to donate to my classroom, I would like to use the money to purchase art supplies for my class. This will give us an opportunity to introduce and explore the world of Art a little more hands on.

Winter Cookie Release, December 2007
Pinko is donating a portion of the Winter Cookie Release to Kids of Kilimanjaro, a great cause which provides school lunches to children in the Monduli district of Tanzania. Before KoK, these children walked miles to school without breakfast, and then endured the entire day without lunch. Here is a little about the organization from the KoK website:

Since Kids of Kilimanjaro was founded in 2005, the program has grown to feed over 10,000 students a nutritious lunch every school day. The results have been striking. Attendance at participating schools is at 100%. Schools have extended the school day by an hour because of the students increased capacity to learn and the government will be opening 15 additional schools in this upcoming school year to accommodate demand.
